There are thousands of people who compete every year in Ironman events around the U.S. and internationally. While it is an individual sport, each individual is supported by a team of family, friends, bike mechanics, massage therapists, nutritionists, patient bosses, riding partners etc. This blog gives the reader a bird's eye view of the individual training, trials, and tribulations and the critical support of the village behind eventual success.
No exercise today. I'm not going to make it. My extra corporeal shockwave treatment is this afternoon. Until then, I must starve myself which is as difficult as dealing with my inability to exercise. These days too shall pass.
